You need to tip on an Alaskan land tour with a cruise line?
FACT- Yes. You should expect to tip on the land portion of your Alaskan Cruise Tour. This is the portion of the trip that is land only and then the cruise either is prior to this or after this part of the cruise tour.
Guests should expect to tip their tour director/guide and their driver to the sum of $11.50 per person per day.
That may seem like a lot but these folks go above and beyond to make your tour fabulous. They guide you through everything, from daily activities, touring, and suggestions for more things going on. They get you to where you need to go, they collect and drop off your luggage, (yes, once you step into this portion of your trip you never lift a finger for your bags until you are coming home or getting on the ship!), they know where to be and when to get the best wildlife viewing, they have insider information!
You can always tip what you feel is right but trust me at the end of your land touring it will always feels like it will not be enough!
In that case, at Carson Travel we recommend that you go again!
